Yule. The winter solstice. The shortest day of the year has come and gone with a flourish of holiday lights, glittering tensile and the delicious aromas of festive feasts.
The Battle of the Oak and Holly Kings has been fought and the Oak King has prevailed. He ushers in the light half of the year, now that we have celebrated and welcomed the birth of the Sun!
From the depths of the Goddess' cauldron emerges the Sun, the embodiment of Life. Though the earth is still barren and in the icy grip of Death, we find our hope in the circle that is the Great Wheel. We trust that life will stir anew and that the earth will once again be filled with the sights and sounds of spring. It is a promise our Goddess has made and a promise we can see enacted as the Wheel of the Year turns yet again.
Happy Holidays and Blessings To All!!
